Jackie has given permission for me to post a photo that was taken of her with Judson at a con back in 1984: 
This page has brought me another new friend, Rita Holsinger. Rita (the lucky duck!) was able to meet Judson at Phoenixcon, in Annapolis in 1984. When I was setting up this page, in 1997, she sent me the following pictures along with this wonderful story: "Jason has spina bifida and he was only 5 years old at the time. He'd just went through extensive surgery on his legs and was going through painful therapy. He loved Bennu and I wrote to Joyce (Bakken)'s fan club to see if I could get a picture of him and ended up with a lifetime membership to the fan club (The Judson Scott is Number One Official Fan Club). When the woman in charge of the Phoenixcon convention found out about Jason she arranged for Jason and I to go to Annapolis for the convention. We were put on the same security floor as Judson and Richard Lynch and had some nice moments of one on one with Judson and Richard for the con. Judson came to our room and talked to Jason, encouraged him to go through with the therapy so he could get out of the wheelchair. Judson was so compassionate, he started crying when he was talking to Jason and had to leave the room for awhile. That really touched me that he cared so much. Of course, he had fun with Jason also- they talked about Jason's pet rabbit and Judson told him he'd raised rabbits too until the coyotes ate his! ;-) Jason is now 18 years old. He stuck it out with the therapy and is now out of the wheelchair. He kinda became the mascot of the con and ended up signing autographs along with Judson! :-)"
